In this body of work suggestive spaces of potentiality and mystery are generated by working directly on "raw" hardwood panels with various media. Dualities dance around mythological memes in strange no-spaces crated by modular color fields and swirling gestural passages of translucent resin. Organic forms are juxtaposed against angular origami-like motifs, suggesting nature v. technology, intuition v. reason; etc. I see these pieces as alchemical experiments designed to challenge the assumption of continuity and stasis associated with image-objects, seeking to establish a field of experience; access spaces into the dynamic, sacred realities of auto-conscious experience.
