This work was installed at my first one-person show at Space Gallery, San Francisco, Ca. I call this group of work Mythologistics: A Commodities Show. Posing the question: "What, in our society, is valuable, and why?" I designed group "sets" of quickly executed image/objects that explore, sometimes ironically, sometimes with more urgency, the conceptual intersections of manually produced objects with exchange value. In the praxis of contemporary global capitalism, authorship, mediation, accelerating class polarization, environmental depletion, and the commodification of sexuality stuck out as the main issues that effected me, and had been diffused throughout my recent artistic productions. The modular nature of the installations and the "part/whole" dichotomy of the "sets" reflected these issues in a succint yet ambiguous manner. Pushing into installation work was an important step for me as an artist and will be an ongoing area of investigation and exploration.
