Mixed Media: Urban Organic

Continuing my utilization of re-claimed materials while meditating on nature, social constructions of "the natural", pattern, incidence, memory, consciousness, growth and decay. I began sourcing botanical and figurative images to dialogue with the stylized graphical world of my mixed media thought experiments. Interested in synthesizing opposites into new wholes, I was trying make the surfaces of the pictures, and the images in the pictures, both maleable and solid, looking glasses into another world, that is in fact our own, as a memory constructs the self, and disappear without it...or does it?
