These are about memory, and fantasy, and the future. The marks are meditative, deliberate, intuitive: sometimes quiet, sometimes loud. There are hours and layers and days and weeks and years of layers, dreams of places, memories of places. The abstraction is an echo of the narrative process, where meanings are parsed in retrospect, bent towards archetype, mythology, and the moments that we decide construct us. Perhaps the works are a reaction against technology. They are definitely in response to it. Bio-techno, we long for a way forward. It is our zeitgeist.
